Do.co.mo.mo. Serbia is national chapter of \u00a0international working party Do.co.mo.mo. \u00a0International, an organization working on protection and preservation of buildings and sites that belong to modern movement in architecture. Do.co.mo.mo. is an acronym derived from english words \u201eDOcumentation<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0COnservation<\/strong>\u00a0of buildings, sites and neighborhoods of the\u00a0MOdern MOvement<\/strong>\u201c. Do.co.mo.mo. International was initiated in 1988 in Netherlands, as a reaction of professionals provoked by rapid devastation and\u00a0disappearance of many modern architecture masterpieces all over the world.\u00a0\u00a0Today there are 69 national and regional working parties all over the world, with more than 2000 members.<\/p>\n

Do.co.mo.mo. Serbia is registered as a section of Association of Belgrade Architects (ABA), as a national working party assembling professionals \u2013 architects, conservators and art and architecture historians, working on matter of modern movement in architecture and urban design in Serbia. Do.co.mo.mo. Serbia is open to all forms of collaborations with individuals, groups and institutions, while working on projects\u00a0and fulfilling the aims of the national chapter.<\/p>\n

Mission<\/h1>\n

Mission\u00a0Do.co.mo.mo.\u00a0Serbia\u00a0is to work\u00a0on\u00a0educating the public and to popularize modern architecture\u00a0in\u00a0Serbia,\u00a0as well as\u00a0presentation\u00a0of\u00a0the national modern architecture to international public.<\/p>\n

Do.co.mo.mo.\u00a0Serbia\u00a0is working on\u00a0finding,\u00a0arranging\u00a0and presenting\u00a0documentation of \u00a0buildings, neighborhoods,\u00a0landscapes\u00a0and\u00a0sites\u00a0that\u00a0belong to\u00a0the modern\u00a0movement\u00a0in architecture.<\/p>\n

Do.co.mo.mo.\u00a0Serbia\u00a0helps\u00a0protect\u00a0and repair\u00a0objects of the modern\u00a0movement\u00a0in architecture\u00a0and\u00a0fight\u00a0against\u00a0their\u00a0devastation.<\/p>\n

Do.co.mo.mo.\u00a0Serbia\u00a0is working on the improvement and \u00a0active\u00a0exchange of\u00a0knowledge\u00a0in\u00a0the field of conservation, documentation\u00a0and\u00a0presentation of MoMo architecture.<\/p>\n

Eindhoven Statement<\/h1>\n

Docomomo\u2019s main goals are brought together in the Eindhoven statement which was issued at the conclusion of the founding conference in 1990:<\/p>\n

– Bring the significance of the modern movement to the attention of the public, the authorities, the professionals and the educational community concerned with the built environment.<\/p>\n

– Identify and promote the recording of the works of the modern movement, including a register, drawings, photographs, archives and other documents.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0Foster the development of appropriate techniques and methods of conservation and disseminate this knowledge throughout the professions.<\/p>\n

– Oppose destruction and disfigurement of significant works of the modern movement.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0Identify and attract funding for documentation and conservation.<\/p>\n
